Longhorn Excellence is a designation of the Longhorn Foundation's Annual Fund dedicated to creating the competitive edge for Texas student-athletes in academics, in athletics and in life. Gifts to Longhorn Excellence raise the bar for Texas Athletics by supporting education, nutrition, recruiting, travel, sports medicine, facilities maintenance and student-athlete development.
- $50 can fuel a student-athlete for one day with the proper nutrition they need to keep their body in top-notch shape
- $126 provides a student-athlete with the proper care and recovery they receive from our sports medicine department for a week
- $538Â gives a student-athlete one month of proper strength and conditioning training
- $1,320 covers a semester’s worth of books and fees associated with enrollment at UT for a student-athlete
- $5,140 offers one year of academic support, such as tutoring and learning services, to a student-athlete

In addition to supporting over 500 Texas student-athletes achieve success, gifts to Longhorn Excellence are 100% tax-deductible.* Giving to Longhorn Excellence is also the best way to boost your Loyalty Point ranking. A higher Loyalty Point ranking grants you access to earlier season ticket seat and parking selection appointment times and priority for postseason and road games. Gifts earn 5 Loyalty Points per every $100 gifted to Longhorn Excellence, as opposed to 2 points per every $100 paid toward seat-related costs.

Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017
Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, this new law eliminates the charitable contribution deduction for payments made for the benefit of a higher education institution that grant the donor the right to purchase seating at an athletic event in the athletic stadium of such institution beginning January 1, 2018.
